Regenerating our nature strips

Participate in Altona Community Gardens Nature Strip Workshops. Learn how to turn your nature strip into a beautiful and productive garden to be shared with the community. Members who participate in both workshops will earn the opportunity to have their nature strip planted by the committee.

Workshops run at member households over two stages. Stage One involves learning about selecting a great location, removing grass, preparing the soil with local seaweed, and selecting plants. Stage Two includes layout and planting out of the prepared garden bed.
